Our History

RBA Mechanical and Hydronic Heating Systems

Hydronic heating changes from decade to decade. With changes in new technologies and safety codes & regulations, hydronic heating is a specialized industry requiring the skill set needed to understand the fundamentals, technology, and diagnostics. Over the years we have helped shape many areas in the industry, and have seen many changes.

  • Between the years 2000 and 2006, we spent most of our time converting boiler systems to multi-boiler systems. This dramatically increased operating efficiency at a time when there were very few options for home and building owners. By the end of 2006/2007, we were able to get boiler manufactures on board to provide home & building owners additional efficiency options such as multi boiler packages, multi-stage boilers, higher efficient boilers and better boiler controls. With our assistance, and other industry leaders, the new Safety Code for hydronic heating installations was born.
  • Between the years of 2006 and 2010, a lot of our time was switched to new home floor heating & snowmelt systems. This was at a time, when radiant heating systems had a poor reputation for not working, poor quality installations, and very high operating costs. Our floor heating installations used high quality materials and proved to be accurate and high efficient. By the end of 2010, we had proved to our industry that floor heating systems in homes were viable and proved to be healthy environments. More consumers started wanting floor heating and snowmelt in their homes.
  • For the past decade, we have been assisting many homeowners and building owners in upgrading their heating systems, altering systems to more energy efficient options, adding additional home comfort options, and repairing hydronic systems.

  • All service work is completed by a qualified Journeyman.
  • We follow all COVID 19 rules & regulations to ensure your health and safety.
  • We remove all our packaging & debris from work site.
  • All work will be completed as specified in your service description.
  • When work is completed, you will receive your official invoice with full service description, for your records.
  • All prices are based on flat rate pricing with NO hidden fees. See Additional Fees for exceptions.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have placed your order, there is no cancellation of service.
If you have a question regarding a product, service, or availability, please contact us PRI OR to placing your order.

Payments

  • Credit card payments - we accept all major credit cards online through the Stripe platform.  We accept visa and master card payments over the phone.
  • Online E-Transfer payments - an email address for automatic deposit will be provided to you.
  • We also accept G Pay and Apple Pay payments online or through your invoice.
  • Po / invoice payments - you must hold an established Account with RBA Mechanical. All 1st time clients are required to pay by credit card or e-transfer payments.

Warranty

Our service warranty is 90 days on workmanship. All parts & equipment is based on Manufacturers’ warranty policies and may range between 6 months or 1 year. If you have questions regarding a product warranty, please contact us PRIOR to placing your order.

Testing or examination services: Testing & examinations are based on the time of test or examination, and there is no warranty implied on such services.

Backflow device repair warranty is limited & is based on causes or conditions.

Additional Fees

If any of the following conditions apply, please contact us PRIOR to placing your order to book an on-site survey.

  • If any equipment or part is unaccessible, hidden, or is difficult access.
  • If holes may be required through concrete or cinder block, concrete coring may be required.
  • If equipment is higher then 10 ft from floor level, a scissor lift may be required. 
  • If equipment is in a mobile home, additional fees may apply.

Onsite conditions that may involve additional fees:

  • AC Service / Leak detection: Access ports / valves. Central air conditioners & roof top units come with access ports / valves, if they are missing, additional fees to install access ports / valves will be required.
  • Any hidden or unforeseen conditions that hinder a repair or installation.
